INTRO TO MY SNOW SERIES

This series is designed to help snow athletes take their sport to the next level

WHY STRENGTH & STRECH FOR SNOW?

 Stretching regularly improves flexibility, range of motion, and reduces injury risk, and ultimately improving your performance on the mountain.

Day 1

Work on stretching into our hamstrings. In skiing most knee injuries happen when our hamstrings are to weak to catch us. But we also need flexible hamstrings too.

Day 2

Work on building strength in our hamstrings to help prevent injuries.

Day 3

Work on hip flexibility. We want to stretch our major body parts that we use in skiing to help us 1. get more flexible, 2. prevent injuries, and 3. it helps us become better athletes!  

Day 4

Work on building strength in our hips and explore different ranges of motion.

Day 5

Work on stretching into our quads. We use our quads to help us stay centered and balanced. 

Day 6

Work on building strength in our quads to help improve your mobility and balance to help you control your skis better and support different muscle areas.

Day 7

Work on stretching our feet, toes, and ankles. In snow sports like snowboarding and skiing our feet keep us centered, but also it helps us get into our edges. 

Day 8

Work on stretching our shoulder and discover different ranges of motion.
